The Gospel, a unifying means of expression 
 

Appearing in the 18th century among African slaves sold in North America, the Gospel heralded the dawn of a spiritual revolution in the United States. Music made up of prayers and sermons, it made it possible to share the sacred texts in the most beautiful and simple way: by singing. Later, these songs telling the call of God”, or “godspell” in English, will become the Gospel. Thanks to the Gospel, we are now defending a fairer and more united world. This communicative music is a means of expressing and sharing values and positive messages such as respect for others or fraternity. Now universal, the Gospel unites all communities around the world.
